Job Summary

The Hospitality Marketing Sr. Manager, GTM Operations, is responsible for driving go-to-market strategy and execution, resulting in achievement of room nights and revenue targets for lodging properties across the Vail Resorts portfolio of North American mountain resorts!

This candidate is an influential leader who has experience developing talent. They are a creative and critical problem solver, have Brand or Product Marketing experience and have been in previous roles where they were accountable for driving marketing return on investment and revenue targets.

This individual should have a proven track record demonstrating drive, ambition, business acumen, and emotional intelligence. This is both a strategic and tactical role. Relationship building will be a key component to success. The position requires the ability to use data and insights in order to provide measurable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner to cross-functional business partners.This person will work in strategic partnership with Resort Brand Strategy, Content Marketing, Omni-Channel Marketing and Product teams to build, recommend and execute annual marketing plans. They will develop big ideas, creative briefs, messaging approaches and oversee strategy for creative development. They will be responsible for developing the Marketing Manager and Sr. Marketing Specialist, as well as serve as a leader within the Hospitality Marketing team and Marketing Department. The Hospitality Marketing Sr. Manager must be an effective communicator, able to constructively give and receive feedback, as well as effectively collaborate with team members and prioritize workflow. The ideal candidate will have exposure to different types of projects and be responsible for delivering results on-time in a very agile and fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build go-to-market strategy
  • Influential leadership and data-focused decision making
  • Develop creative briefs and provide both internal and external business partners with creative feedback
  • Primary ownership of Hospitality go-to-market messaging and segmentation matrix
  • Project manage the go-to-market process/approvals from strategy to in-market deliverables
  • Partner with omni-channel and resort brand teams to execute upon the go-to-market deliverables and timelines
  • Lead campaign creative deliverables
  • Oversee external vendors including agency partners, copy writers, photographers and digital contractors
  • Process SOWs/POs and demonstrate excellent budget acumen
  • Own photography strategy & direction
  • Utilize guest insights and data to drive marketing campaigns that deliver definable results
  • Lead the Marketing Manager and Sr. Marketing Specialist in day-to-day responsibilities, coaching, career development, etc.

Job Requirements

  • 4-year college degree required. Emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications preferred.
  • 6-8 years Brand or Product Marketing experience preferred. Experience working in a multi-location and/or corporate matrixed environment.
  • 3
    years direct supervisory experience.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, attention to details and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, results-oriented and multi-tasker.
  • Confident, collaborative leader who is able to function effectively in a matrixed environment by successfully leading through influence.
  • Pursues work with energy and drive.
  • Adept at assessing and utilizing business data to identify needs and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Works independently, takes the initiative and has the desire to achieve.
  • Possesses good judgment, is detailed and trustworthy.

The budgeted range starts at $90,000 - $113,000
annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
