Job Summary

Vail Resorts has a dynamic opportunity for a QA Automation Engineer to join our organization and become a key contributor. The QA Automation role will report to the QA Manager and sit within the Marketing Technology IT team. The QA Automation Engineer will work across consumer-facing web, mobile app, e-commerce and the boarder marketing technology space. This position must have a solid foundation for both functional QA and QA automation. The purpose of the role is to maintain and enhance the existing digital application ecosystem through quality assurance support and building out new test automation solutions. The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with a Senior Automation Engineer to continue developing the automation platform and automating regression scripts for the e-commerce websites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and report on the full testing suite for both manual and automated tests
  • Create reusable, extendable and automated test scripts by influencing design for testing strategies
  • Champions automation methodologies
  • Creates and maintains automated testing artifacts
  • Improve the maturity of regression scripting & execution processes for digital analytics and functional testing
  • Participates in requirement reviews and sprint ceremonies to stay informed of potential impact to testing
  • Integrate automation framework into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery cycles
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of customer requirements, offer suggestions on how best to deliver solutions
  • Creates, ensures adherence and maintains appropriate standards and quality procedures across the QA organization
  • Identifies, communicates and provides solutions to issues that impact project schedules

Job Requirements

Required:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
  • 1
    years of quality assurance experience
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Bamboo
  • Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks
  • Experience with one or more programming languages
  • Experience with documentation sharing tools such as SharePoint and Confluence
  • Experience with MS Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Must be able to communicate written and verbally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of the web application lifecycle
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to explore beyond your experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and manage own time, multi-task and switch contexts

Preferred:

  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming

The budgeted range starts at $67,000 - $81,150. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
