Technical Analysts

Oracle America, Inc. has openings for Technical Analysts in Broomfield, CO. Analyze user requirements to develop, implement, and support Oracles global infrastructure. Provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex networked systems. Provide problem isolation and resolution. Report design, reliability and maintenance problems for bugs to design engineering/software engineering. Deliver post-sales Solaris, ZFS and/or networking support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. Facilitate customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues. Offer strategic technical support to assure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Create and utilize automated technology and instrumentation to diagnose, document, and resolve customer issues.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science or related technical field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a technical support engineer-related occupation. Experience must include:
1) Programming Skills:
C, C++, Machine Code (x86 & SPARC Assembly), and Shell (sh, ksh, bash); 2) Solaris Crash Dump Analysis (CDA) using Solaris Modular Debugger (MDB), Solaris Crash Analysis Tool (SCAT), and/or Solaris Automated Crash Analysis Tool (ACT); 3) Performance Analysis and Problem Investigation using Solaris Dynamic Tracing (DTrace); 4) Troubleshoot and isolate performance bottlenecks using the Grand Unified Diagnostic Script (GUDS); 5) Solaris Operating System Administration; 6) Advanced Solaris Internals; 7) Solaris Zetabyte Filesystem (ZFS); 8) Problem resolution using Analytical Troubleshooting methodologies; 9) Technical Escalation Management; 10) Oracle Server and Storage Knowledge including the ability to diagnose hardware issues from crash dumps and Solaris Fault Management (FMA); 11) Bug and RFE management including ability to create and update Bug/RFE resolution; 12) Issue documentation- write solutions, workarounds, and new internal and external documentation for problems; 13) Troubleshoot and isolate issues with LDOMs (logical domains); 14) Troubleshoot and isolate issues with Zones (global and non-global); 15) Knowledge of NFS and TCP/IP technologies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
