Community Director

The primary role of the Community Director is to effectively manage, market, and maintain the physical apartment community while maximizing employee resources. Our community directors are very customer service driven that create a lasting influence on visitors, prospects, and residents.
Responsibilities Include:
Preparing the preliminary annual property operations budget
Supervising property associates
Managing, marketing, and maintaining the apartment community
Monitoring expenses
Overseeing the consistency and effectiveness of the leasing associates' use of the policies and procedures, including priority wait lists, phone techniques, application verification and notification
Recommending changes to supervisors regarding rent changes
Ensuring leasing practices conform to federal, state, and local law
Ensuring staff is knowledgeable of the market and competition
Maintaining positive resident relations
Establishing and maintaining renewal programs
Managing staff, including hiring, training, and developing
Maintaining system of service requests
Maintaining common areas of community
Ensuring the availability of make-ready vacant units
Maintaining resident database, accounts receivable, and accounts payable records
Reporting on payroll and employee records
Overseeing risk management and emergency procedures
Requirements
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED
2-4 years of College strongly preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Extensive knowledge of Property Management
Knowledge of on-site management operations

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2-4 years of Property Management experience

Apartment Management experience preferred

SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to adhere to set and variable work schedule, including weekends and emergencies as required
Able to adhere to company policies, procedures and practices

Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Able to professionally interact with customers, residents and guests, as needed

Own a valid driver's license with good driving record and current automobile insurance
Strong supervisory/managerial skills
Strong Internet, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than "home" property
Able to travel within major metropolitan area and may be required to attend company functions in cities other than home cities requiring overnight stays

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
