Financial Analyst - Operations

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position allows the right candidate a unique opportunity to shape the role to meet his/her development needs and the organization's demands.
This is a high-visibility position involving close collaboration with cross-functional partners in Operations, Finance, Brands, Accounting and Sales.
Responsibilities:
Support portfolio and Supply Chain optimization by assessing line item profitability and channel/customer performance
Drive understanding of Cost of Goods Manufactured in internal plants and co-manufacturing locations
Identify and track cost savings initiatives
Analyze monthly/quarterly financial results relating to Operations
Support the development of business cases for WhiteWave's major growth and cost-savings initiatives
Lead and/or support short-term special projects in areas such as network optimization, pricing and procurement
PREFERRED CANDIDATE
Qualifications:
Education and
Experience:
Bachelors degree in a quantitative field, preferably Finance, Accounting, or Economics; strong preference for MBA or advanced business-related degree
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a corporate/professional environment
Experience within Supply Chain and/or CPG experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement
Proficiency with MS Excel and financial modeling
Knowledge of MS Access, SAP, Financial Reporting tools and optimization software preferred
Basic understanding of Accounting principles
Basic understanding of Manufacturing processes preferred
High intellectual curiosity and passion for continuous learning
Results-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work
Strong problem-solving and communications skills
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently in a cross-functional matrix organization
