Be caring, compassionate and nurturing toward young children.
Assess and evaluate children's physical and emotional needs; understand their development and make recommendations for their care.
Follow curriculum guidelines and provide activities that are developmentally appropriate for children based on age; assess young children; create a developmentally appropriate learning environment; help children to develop social skills and self-confidence.
Prepare engaging activities that promote feelings of success.
Communicate with parents about their child's progress; keep parents informed of the child's academic and social achievements.
