The Role The Director of Enterprise Architecture, Platform Application & Services (PAS) is responsible for leading the enterprise architecture strategy in the area of Platforms, Application & Service Delivery, and Assurances for Lumen. Part of the enterprise architecture team this role would lead the as-is and destination architectures for strategic platforms and applications. Work with Business and IT stakeholders and architects to build architectural roadmaps, standards, policies, and governance for key areas including microservices, integration, and automation through the product roadmaps. Responsible for the long-term strategic vision, thinking about the big picture together with business and technical stakeholders. Sets the vision & framework for architecture styles, platforms, and tools. Enterprise architects are an enabler of change from a business-technology perspective, and help transformation succeed through hands-on demonstrations of new principles and approaches, communicating changes across many viewpoints, and governing progress toward an overall strategy for IT capabilities. Orchestration of strategy alignment and transformation of the Platform Application & Services Portfolio. Serving as the primary interface for strategic alignment of one or more of the key functional areas, this individual will work closely with cross-functional leadership to increase the velocity of integration and development, establish and maintain linkage between the customer experience and development roadmaps to drive the evolution of the PAS Portfolio to include:
UCC, Voice, Edge, SASE and other products. This is a fully remote, work from anywhere in the US role. The Main Responsibilities Work collaboratively as a member of the leadership team to achieve the organizational goals, objectives and priorities as tied to the strategic plan. Lead a team of Enterprise and Solution Architects to drive architecture roadmaps Lead and Contribute to the overall enterprise architecture strategy and architecture and process improvements Provide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns and IT practices Understand organization's business & technology strategy & rationale Work closely with business executives, managers and other engineering teams to deliver on Enterprise Architecture's mission Governs and contributes at Architecture Review Board, maintains overall Architecture Technology capabilities, directs Technology Architecture Working groups Analyze and synthesize external market assessments, benchmarks, dynamics and best practices to drive strategy and execution. Drive organizational change in architecture as we transform to a Lean, SAFe and Agile software product development model that is fast-paced and continuously delivers value to our customers Directs architecture governance processes to enable Sr. IT leadership to direct investment towards strategically and financially appropriate activities. Participate in the strategy for building and maintaining the architectural runway Elevate the performance of the team through technical leadership, strategy, and ability to navigate and distill complex processes and architectures Evaluate emerging technologies against business and IT strategic needs Lead the definition of standards and patterns required to deliver industry-leading enterprise platforms, the CI/CD pipelines that leverage them, and the automation required to support them at scale Develops, manages, and sustains a governance and operational support framework supporting the key business imperatives; ensuring leaders and teams are operating within established principles, receiving the appropriate requirements and support from the broader organization. Coordinates with leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate prioritization, resourcing and velocity. Deal with challenges that are broad, complex, and abstract, often involving Company-wide issues. Must develop solutions using creativity, resourcefulness, innovation, negotiating and diplomacy. What We Look For in a Candidate Bachelor's Degree and 12
years of IT experience at a senior level OR Master's Degree and 10
years of IT experience Experience leading technology teams and setting Enterprise Architecture technology direction 7
years of experience working in Enterprise Architecture in a corporate, international environment Strong leadership skills such as mentoring, coaching, and ability to collaborate with Business Executives, Architecture, Delivery, ITOps, Engineering, & Product teams to execute on the architectural strategy Experience driving adoption of enterprise architecture standards and methodologies including development of technology roadmaps Experience leading industry best practices and patterns for Digital Experience (DX), Data and Analytics, API & Integration, Application development, Cloud Engineering, Security & Infrastructure Knowledge base & experience leading large scale distributed systems, solution architecture, Data enablement, data modeling and architecture, Application delivery, API Led architecture, Infrastructure & Cloud engineering
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
