Our client in the Broomfield, Colorado (CO) area is seeking an experienced Payment/Denials/Appeals Processor. This position is on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Duties:
Keep current in payer and contract renewals, updates, and billing policies
Identifies and follows up on accounts in an appropriate and timely manner
Accurately document and file all correspondence and or action taken on an account in the computer system
Research and take appropriate action by way of appeals, adjustments if necessary, and resubmission of claims with additional documentation
Provides feedback to Business Service management regarding problems as they arise
Medical Billing experience a plus
EPIC experience a big advantage
Advanced experience with the appeals process, denials, AR Follow-UP, Contract Interpretation, and Underpayment Review
High School diploma or equivalent is required
1-year hospital, medical or medical insurance experience, required
Medical terminology/advanced training, preferred
ICD-9, HCPC, Revenue Codes, preferred
